In an exciting new trailer, Capcom has unveiled Alex, the newest character set to join the roster in the Year 3 Character/Ultimate Pass for Street Fighter 6.
"Shut up!" - a bold statement that sets the tone for this character's transformation.
While this teaser does not showcase actual gameplay, it certainly provides a thrilling glimpse for fans who have ever wished to see characters like Andore (Hugo) from Final Fight face a serious beatdown. In this brief presentation, Alex takes on a darker persona, aptly named 'The Man With No Allies', as he taunts his foes and dismisses the crowd with an air of arrogance.
Although the initial reaction to Alex’s new look is somewhat lukewarm, it's a significant improvement over his design in Street Fighter V, which many fans found less than appealing.
As for when players can expect to control Alex, there's no specific date available yet, but the trailer hints at a release in "Early Spring," potentially around March.
Alongside Alex, the Year 3 Character/Ultimate Pass will also introduce iconic fighters Sagat and C. Viper, with Ingrid making her highly anticipated debut in the main series at a later date.
In our review of Street Fighter 6 for Switch 2, we praised it for its impeccable execution, noting that it is "crisp, clean, and as slick as we could have ever hoped," awarding it an impressive score of 9 out of 10. This title also made it onto our list of personal Game of the Year selections for 2025, so be sure to check that out when you can.
